Kinloch worked as a registered nurse in Alberta and BC before becoming vice-president of Surrey Memorial Hospital, a position she held for 15 years. She also served as president of Vancouver Community College from 2010 to 2013 and earlier as dean of health sciences at BCIT. In January 2014, Kinloch was appointed president of British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), where she remains focused on broadening and deepening BCIT’s partnerships with business, industry and community in BC, across Canada and globally. A respected health-care professional, educator, public servant and executive, Kinloch has shaped both the health-care system and the post-secondary education sector in British Columbia and is widely recognized as a leader in organizational renewal in complex environments.
